All I can say is blue and white baby, leafs nation. Can't believe that cheap shot on Peca last night, now he's gone for probably 6+ months with torn right MCL and fractured tibia =@ |

Rangers Baby! We've lost our last 4-5 after a 5 game win streak though. ![]() Lunqdvist is a great goalie, and Shannan, Jagr, and Nylander are proving great to our team.

That was a complete mistake, watch the replay, it was completely unintentional, Vandermeer was just trying to keep the puck in the zone. And another thing, the nerve that the leaves have for saying that it's a sad thing to see someone (vandermeer) who can barely stay in the league as it is to take out one of the best NHL players of this generation.....I'm sorry, you don't say that to the media. Think it all you want, just keep it to yourself |

Peca is not one of the best players of the generation though.

That's not a direct quote, but they said something of that sort. He's up there though, and he's been a captain many of time. He's always been kind of a dirty player though |

True, but there are other players that are much better than him. |

I agree that the comments made by Paul Maurice and Jeff O'Neill. That's just the way the media is in Toronto, probably the most anoying media in the entire league. If you look at the replay, you will actually notice that Vandermeer does stick out his right leg a tiny bit, maybe just a reaction, maybe not. Either way, it's no excuse for possibly ending a players career. All kneeing major's should be overlooked by the NHL, and should result in 3+ games based on it's severity, not just becuase of Peca, but because of all the people that have ended thier career's from these things. |

The ducks are so good this year, I don't know what is up! So grats to them ![]() Yea kneeing is definitely a no no in any sport, but I still think it was a mistake never the less. |

Right now I can see them and the Sabres in the cup. BTW have you seen this? I think it'd be a great idea, especially if they can reach an agreement before next season. ![]() @Curare: Actually I think they'll go to Las Vegas, it's the fastest growing sports market in the country right now and if the NHL can get in there first they'll gain a lot of money. The only downside is it'd be even harder to deal with gambling in Las Vegas than in Phoenix.

"So where are the hockey fans?" In Canada. It's one of those sports that are boring as hell on TV but when you actually go to a game it's more fun than going to any other sport imo. |
