not. Carson Palmer had fun with the media Thursday when he threw his first pass of practice in warmups and then grabbed his right shoulder. Fake out. After that zinger, he laughingly threw some zingers to fellow quarterbacks Doug Johnson and Anthony Wright, and looked fine, scuttling any whispers of rotator cuff damage or post-season surgery. Palmer said said Thursday before practice there is nothing wrong with his throwing shoulder and that he plans to practice Thursday and Friday, and play Sunday against Denver. Palmer defused speculation that he has a damaged shoulder by joking, “The Reds have a tryout on Monday (as a pitcher),” and said has no idea where the Internet reports came from during a brief meeting with reporters during lunch. “It’s fine. There isn’t anything wrong with my shoulder,” Palmer said. “I don’t know where it came from. Everything is great.” Palmer apparently took some snaps in team drills Wednesday but didn’t throw, which put him on the injury report as missing practice because he missed a portion of team work. The Bengals have reported no structural damage, and said he was sore after taking some shots Monday night in Indianapolis. http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5793 |

The funniest part was when they called Anthony Wright a quarterback. I laughed for a solid ten minutes. |

Other way around. This is why I hate the media, and the general public. Fake an injury as a joke and what happens? They want a press conference wondering what happened to the shoulder, if he is going to play on the weekend. Good jokes, think the media should loosen up a little. Bengals <3 |

... The joke has nothing to do with the media sprawl. The joke was directed at the fact that the media had falsely reported that his shoulder might be injured, especially considering he missed the majority of yesterday's practice.

Who is the Bengals backup QB this season? They would be screwed if he went down again. |
