Recently, I've been watching the movie Friday Night Lights. I've come to watch it pretty much every day, over these past 2 months, and I've had no idea why. Well as I got finished watching it for 23rd consecutive night just a few minutes ago I finally realized why I love this movie so much.

It is EXACTLY what I want out of life. The Lights beaming down on me on friday night. Hundreds of people in the Bolton stands. Fans, Family, friends, and college scouts looking down on me at the LB position.

I don't understand why I love this game so much. Most people view the greatest game in the world as Baseball. Baseball is always classfied as "America's Pasttime". Baseball has come to crap, quite frankly. What other choices are there for the greatest sport? Basketball? The NBA is pretty much a bunch of badass athletes throwing a ball around. Don't get me wrong, there are some class acts and I like a good game of basketball, but the NBA is totally not what basketball's supposed to be.

Football Has it's thugs and badasses, but shows a higher level of class than most sport's off the field. When you go to a metting, the last thing you want to wear is your street clothes. You want to look nice, you wear a suit.

Besides the high level of class football has, as Ladainian Tomlinson has showed the world this season, the game is electrifying on gamedays. The bruising runs up the gut, the dazzling Jukes on the outside, The WC offense, the Run and Gun style, the scramblers, the pocket passers, the Hard-nosed defenses, the blitzes, and the impact of Special teamS(DEVIN HESTER!).

Now you ask me, why did I waste approximately 7 minutes of my life thinking of this? Quite frankly, I have no clue. Since it is Christmas Time, I just wanted to share my joy that I have just recieved from this blockbuster, with you.

Friday Night Lights is a great movie, I saw it in theaters and twice more once out on DVD, I just don't think it's one of those sport movies I could watch 23 times though. Miracle is probably the only sports movie where I could say it's exactly what I want from life and that I could watch over and over again.

I thought the movie was nothing above average. Is this a topic about why football is the best sports or what? It is fun, and possibly the best to play. I never played defense, but was a receiver and punt/kick returner for my high school and it was great.

Hockey however is sport full of non stop action and is amazing if you play it or watch it. Baseball may not be the best sport to watch, but its fun as well. I don't care much for b-ball, lol.

You didn't mention one thing, the linemen.

You ruined the whole post of awesomeness, thanks.

I don't know If I'm supposed to take this as jokingly or seriously, but I'm going to take it as the latter.

I apologize to you two, Camo and Jeff, for forgetting the most underappreciated position on the field. I mean, I know you are a lineman and it gets tiring hearing about how great skill players are, but if you plan on being a lineman, get used to it. Don't think I don't appreciate lineman's work. The OT isn't one of the most highly payed positions in the league for no reason. He protects the quarterbacks blindside, he opens holes for the backs, he has to learn how to execute a trap block, folding blocks, he has to pull, and he has to watch where his hands are CONSISTENTLY. Even on defense. The Big defensive tackles, crash the A gap, take on double teams, and occupy space so they can free up the Linebackers to make the tackle. And yes, it is a cold fact that only hardcore football fans notice that linemen should get the majority fot he credit. I'm just being blunt when I say, lineman are the most unnappreciated and unnoticed players on the field at time, and that isn't going to change in our lifetime.

But you KNOW, this is probably the first post that I have left out what the lineman do for the game. You KNOW I appreciate what lineman do. And you KNOW that I don't think any one poisiton is better than another.

Sorry if your post was supposed to be taken as a joke.
