Untouchable? Don't make me laugh.

It's basically Gears 1, with a terrible story and mediocre SP. MP is terribly flawed too.

It's a decent game, but nowhere near the likes of Fallout 3.

I want to know what makes the story so bad. It was really interesting imo.

As for the multiplayer, please show me these glitches and bugs, the only thing I've seen wrong in my 100+ MP matches was the random lag it took for my grenade to go off. Methinks some people need a better connection.
What makes the story good? The characters are all extremely generic too, Cole is the only decent one.

As for MP... the fact that you can't quit a game is the stupidest feature in any game i have EVER seen.

New GOW2 maps. 800 points, for some gayer maps. I hope they do another remake pack. Fuel Depot, Rooftops, War Machine.
-War Machine (Worst GOW1 map) + Escalation = Would buy.

Agreed, the no quit thing is bullshit they have no right to tell you that you can or can't quit, just pisses me off.

Fuel Depot, War Machine, and old Gridlock would be great for me.

Gears 2's story was epic, but not fundamentally good. The thing that made Gears 2 "untouchable" for me when I first bought it was the loading screens and how good the quality was for everything, looking HD. The one thing that puts Gears off for me now is the game isn't nearly as dark as the first. I don't mean figuratively, I mean it's literally all brighter. It's like Batman. Begins was super dark, brown, and hard to make out which made it awesome. The Dark Knight was a lot brighter and it was easy to make out that it was Chicago and everything was all blue. That difference in brightness turns me off from the game a lot, although Flood looks darker and makes me happy. =]

Left 4 Dead = Most fun ever with friends. I mean... wow, just a pure classic, really.

Also, GTA4 beating MGS4 for Game of the Year? Hah, what a joke.

FC = Full Combo. It's a GH/RB term unless it originated elsewhere, I don't know. It basically means never breaking your combo from start to finish.

Combo as in never missing a note? As in 100%?

100% and FC are two different things. You can hit 100% of the notes and not be an FC by extra strumming (breaking your combo, in other words).

FC is hitting 100% of the notes and getting 5 stars on the song. It gives you 5 gold stars for doing so.

Ah.. GOW2

While I do enjoy this game, a lot, I severely miss the 'darkness' of levels as someone above brought up, and the overall 'creep' factor that was in GOW1. The thing I miss the most is probably the night levels, and the levels with the lambent wretches. Both of them were 'creepy' in a sense, and the entire game had a more eerie feel to it. GOW2 is much more... epic, per say. I like the feel of the guns more in GOW2, and the graphics are improved in my opinion. Horde mode was a great addition and it is really all I play online with friends. The level I like the most in the campaign is the abandoned facility New Hope (I believe), as it brought up an extremely interesting (and sadly unresolved) plot twist, and it was extremely reminiscent of some of my favorite GOW1 levels, with the thunder, rain, darkness, and all that good stuff that made GOW1 so interesting. That was the only real level like that though... maybe the level with the Queen's home as well. But other than that nothing particularly eerie about the game, even the music wasn't as good. I miss the music that came up when you picked up COG tags as well.. its still there but not as obvious.

One last thing...

Monsters like Corpsers and Brumak are no longer menacing in GOW2.... you'd see one of these in GOW1 and shit your pants because they were both so large and you couldn't kill them. Now they seem smaller and less menacing in the game, and much easier to kill.

Still a great game though, bigger firefights and more gore. Just not enough creep factor imho

But they do have newer monsters. Like when you were going around in that river with the fish swimming by was scary as shit.
