For all you or anyone else (except for the two people of coarse) knows though, when they say they used protection, they actually did. Now, seeing as they said they used protection, it's not right to come and say use protection. For all anyone knows they did use a condom, and spermiside and birth control.  :/

If they used adequate protection then she wouldn't be pregnant :| I find it SERIOUSLY hard to believe that a 15 yr old girl is clued up on protection, STD's etc.

Don't start getting agressive with me over posting my thoughts, calm down :ermm: Verastyle asked for everyone's thoughts and advice, I've given mine like everyone else. I personally think they were too wrapped up in the heat of the moment to use proper protection, and as I've just said, I doubt at 15 and someone who is currently sleeping with a lot of people (I deduce this from what Ive read in the topic) she is going to know what proper protection is, what the consequences are, and probably doesn't care either.
If she paid attention in sex ed she wouldn't be in this mess.

Since I don't know them Lightsilver like yourself, I am personally within my rights to make assumptions on whether I think they were correct or not. They say they used protection? I say if she's sitting there with a period that is 2 months late and is worried that she is pregnant... perhaps they didn't. Perhaps as I stated in my previous post... they didn't put the condom on correctly. Maybe it was hurried and in the dark, who knows. I don't, but that is my opinion, so please quit quoting my post and acting as though I'm personally insulting someone. Try respondong to someone else's post instead, perhaps those who are too caught up in how 'gross' it is that a 15 yr old might be pregnant.

I'm not being aggressive, nor do I think I have shown aggressiveness (caps lock, exclamation marks and such). Please, tell me what it is I did to signify aggression, because I will surely avoid writing in such a way in the future.

And, you see, I do not, and did not think you did anything outside your rights, nor do I think I have. Your opinion was that you don't think they used proper protection, where my opinion is that I don't think it's fair to the person to tell them to do something they stated they did (and if they didn't, I personally think the lesson has probably been properly taught to the person the hard way). :/

Also, the reason I didn't quote and respond to people saying 15 year olds having sex is gross, would because, what could I say? If someone thinks something's gross, I can't do anything about it.

And, I also have no problem not quoting your posts, it's not like I think "omgz, it's Nicola!!!11! better comment on her post", because it's not the case. While reading the posts in order, yours happened to be the second I would have commented on (the first on already had someone say almost exactly what I was going to say about it).

Again, I am sorry if I have been a bother to you in anyways, by all means, I'm not out to do anything of the sort.

I doubt she and he used proper protection, for the simple fact of the her age. But you can use all the protection in the world, and their is still a decent chance she could get pregnant.

Um...not really.

Condom + pill + coil + contraceptive injections (either yearly or 6 monthly) + diaphram... = not exactly a decent chance of getting pregnant.

You're basically saying that contraception is hopeless, when it isn't.

From a website:

Quote:

Contraceptive method Effectiveness

Vasectomy  Almost 100 per cent
Female sterilisation  Almost 100 per cent
The Pill Almost 100 per cent
Contraceptive injection 'Jab' Almost 100 per cent
IUS (Mirena)  98 to 99 per cent
IUD (the coil) 97 to 98 per cent
The mini-Pill Arond 98 per cent
Male condom  90 to 98 per cent
Female condom  90 to 98 per cent
Cap (diaphragm) with spermicide 90 to 96 per cent

Not a decent chance. In fact when using any form of contraception, if you get pregnant it's not extremely common.

THEY might think they used proper protection, I'm simply saying....they might not have.

Oddly enough, that isn't what Verastyle was looking for us all to confirm. Perhaps we could get back to discussing what he wanted (I.e Advice on what his friend should do next) rather than debating how wrong some people here are about how effective contraception is.

Not a 'decent' chance, full on protection as Nicola mentioned earlier carries a very small chance - but you can never be 100% sure.
