Well for those of you that live in America, you might have watched the news here recently. Well on the news it is talking about a bunch of states affect with the "ice" storm. Much fun it is. I live in NorthEastern Oklahoma, and it hight us like a ton of bricks. (not that I LIKE living here. *vomits*) I secertly loved it though. The power going out like 40(10) times and my family ACTUALLY having to spend time with one another. Yeah I am corny. Anyways, I will in the boonies so there are ALOT of trees everywhere and they were falling left and right. B-E-A-utiful! Not to mention I was sooo far on freaking Kingdom Hearts that when the power went off I almost cried. :'( lol I also got monday, tuesday, and wednesday off of school. I am suppose to be going today but since my little sister doesn't have to go I am not going. Okay sorrey I keep getting side tracked. Trees were falling down all over the place and in my grandmother's yard (we all live on the same piece of property) there was(or still is) and tree laying through here fence. I thought it was AWESOME! She was really sad so I didn't show my excitement in front of her. Then over the five day period of this storm I was taking pictures of stuff and I took a picy of this squirrel(sp?) and he was soo cute! I loved him. I will show you guys my pics I took. ![]() ![]() Mr. Squirel(sp?), I named him that. I know he is hard to see. I was trying to get a good picture. Then my Aunt's dumb dog ran up behind me and scared the beast away. :'( ![]() See this tree and all it's senery(sp?)? Well I took this picture in the fall. Aint it just darlin? ![]() ![]() Now look at it. :'( ![]() This my friends is my grandmother's little park area. She is obsessed with landscaping. ![]() Aaawwww Country road. Yes dirt roads still do exsist, it is just parts of the country that still know and beleive the statement "God made dirt, dirt don't hurt." I know dirt hurts but, ya know I still love it. ![]() Please don't steal my awesome picceys....(sorrey ya know?) |

@ev. Thanks, as you can see spelling has never been a strong point for me. (Even though it should be since I post a lot of forums.) Yeah, yesterday it got to a high of 38 degrees. Which is good I guess because ever since Friday it has been either freezing or below. But I secretly like it.

O_o 38 degrees. I swears its about 1 degree here. This nasty wind too. Well glad you got to spend time with your family. That reminds m when we had power out for over 24hrs and we had to throw away lots of food out the freezer but we had a petrol generator so we managed to watch TV. |

My girlfriend just moved to Oklahoma a few weeks ago (she had to, her mother decided to marry an army guy again...). She doesn't live right in the middle of where the storms hit, but she still has a lot of bad weather. She had school off for the past week and a half or so (she still does today). No real problems as far as power though, just a lot of ice on the road. |

My cousin who lives about a football feild away from me has had no electricty all week. I had school today but the rule in my house is: "If Susie(my lil sis) doesn't have school at her school then I don't have school." Yeah my parents just rock that way. :clown: My father told me that if it was at freezing or below you could put your food outside and it would be fine. Just the problem with little critters eating it though. I am going to take some more pictures around here tomorrow and show you guys the madness. Those pictures where just me trying to be cool. The next ones I take will be not so pretty.

You live in Oklahoma too? How fun! Right now it is 33 degrees. To tell you honestly I don't want it to warm up, only for the reason I like the ice and everything like it is. B) Eventhough I feel for the trees.....poor guys... ![]()
Yeah I saw that on tv. Like Malibu or w/e was covered with snow. I was amazed. :S |

That is quite interesting. It is a shame that the same storm is supposed to arrive here in Ohio later tonight. |
