Freewebs is nice and all, but currently I'm only using it as a test site for my content for my website. But to have any domain there, you have to pay. What I'm asking is that someone link me to a free, possibly decent webhoster, that would let me use a free, possibly decent domain name. :arr:

You can't get FREE .com/.net domains.

How much hosting do you need?

I realize I won't get a .com/.net, but the next best domain that is free. Nothing over 50MB :D

You won’t really get any great domain for free, just the cheap tacky usual ones like .tk. :ermm:

Anything but .tk. ANYTHING but .tk. I saw a uk.to once...

EDIT: I DID find a working domain website that will allow .net/.com, just because they wanted to. :P Since I didn't have to give them my credit card, they sound legit (for the time being). So I'm in need of a free webhoster that will support the domain (because I need an IP to direct the free domain at). :clown:

Free dns is where you get the uk.to subdomain.

http://www.50megs.com/ is decent. Don't ever accept free web hosting with cpanel 10, it has to be pirated.

http://wordpress.com/ is the absolute best, it comes with the free wordpress blog/cms system.

50Megs is saying the domain is not available, and that's because I have pointed it at a webhost yet. How would wordpress being a blog help my hosting needs?

You can easily make more pages, and only the front page has posts on it. Look inside the box before you decide to look out of it.

It's free until you have to pay for the domain. :S

All I'm asking, is there a free webhoster out there, that instead of a cheap subdomain they give you, you can use a different subdomain, better quality, from a different provider, by the use of nameservers?
