Hey,

Im thinking of upgrading my ram but i have a question. I have to memory slots and in one of them i have a 512mb. I was wondering if i bought a 1gb and put it in the slot where the 512b is and moved the 512mb to the other slot, would i have 1.5mb of ram?

Thanks.

Edit: I would like you`re thought aswell, do you thinks its worth getting 2gb?

1) You might as well just put the new 1GB stick in the 2nd slot, if some thing's not broken, don't try fixing (or moving) it....

2) Depends on your needs, I rarely max out my RAM and when I do that's usually because a program's decided to take it all. If you're opening massive videos/pictures for editing, then yes otherwise you probably won't use that extra 512MB.

Before buying, make sure which type of RAM is compatible with your computer.
