Any time a kid feels like they've been called to be a prophet since kindergarden, I get worried. I'm all for Sunday School and stuff but the stuff that came out of some of their mouths made me wonder if they were going to be future terrorists for Christ. And it's just scary to see kids that way. Exploit much? And people who use this to justify any hostility or prejudice they have against religion, it's a rather small niche of what christians (and other religious groups) actually think. Most religious people are smart enough to not jump on board with this kind of thing. |

Ah, but therein lies the very problem. If a christian says that that is the face of their religion, then it is. Just as if a Muslim terrorist does a suicide bomb, he represents his religion and it becomes a stereotype. They can claim that the Bible commands them to do this, but who's to say that it doesn't? |

![]() That was pretty ignorant. Religion isn't bad, fundamentalism is bad. Stupid fool? No. Just misguided people that never escaped indoctrination. God won't save them? How can you even assume that? |

No offense but I hate church camps. All my friends go to church camps over the summer and then they come back a non-virgin or they are knocked up. Sorrey no thanks. In fact I went a church camp once the day I left for the camp I was high on Jesus. I mean I was a hardcore Christian after I got back from the camp I was all screwed up. I didn't even know if I bleived in God anymore. Nope never again. Poor kids. But if it keeps em outta trouble then I guess it is alright but, I doubt it honestly. I know I am sterotyping but, really that camp took away the best thing I ever had....

I don't understand why people let one event screw everything up? I don't mean to be harsh but if you really believed in Christ's saving grace why would a bad experience at church camp ruin that. |

I am emotional disturbed. Okay Ross come live at my house. Have parents like mine. YOU'LL SURE BELIEVE IN CHRIST! lol :S I know my life isn't that bad it is just yeah, my emotions suck. But nevermind that we are not talking about my home life. I did believe in "Christ's Saving Grace" and I did really storngly but sh*t happens. When something bad happens or you get turned the other way, and then stop going to church and all that CRAP(!) then it is really hard to get back on the right track. With all the christians I see today I would NEVER want to be a christian again. Christians where I live and some online show the worst examples ever. I know I used to be a christian but, I was never as closed minded as christians are today. Yeah I am sterotyping so sue me.

If I based Christianity on todays Christian community I wouldn't be one either. But why do that when Christianity is based on Christ? You don't have to go with the mold. I consider myself a more liberal Christian who believes in evolution and the discoveries of science. A lot of other Christians would find those views wrong and talk against it. Does that change me though? No. I can't change your mind or ask you to reconsider, that isn't my place, it just hurts when I see Christians repelled based on the actions of other Christians

I rarely call anything about Christianity and similar religions sickening, but watching those kids cry while worshiping is just that. Watching that lady scream "THIS IS WAR" also made me want to throw up.

Well, "this is war" is kind of a figure of speech. While it just looks like a normal kids camp, it is on the radical side. I don't know, what can you do? There are radical sides to almost everything in life, i guess you just kind of have to know where to draw the line. |
