We're not debating whether global warming is real or not, we all know it is. It's more of a debate on who's doing what to solve it. idk999, when you provide some actual proof to your statements, I'll consider the posts. But until then, we've got some extremely convincing posts that I'm going to believe a little more. |

As much as I like the UK, you can't use that as an excuse as they don't have the population nor the land mass that the US has. Things aren't feasible in the US that are there such as travel, etc. |

Actually, GE, the second largest company and first largest "green" company in the world has a huge Wind Power program in America, but we do prefer fossil fuels over alternatives. |

idk999, you know what comes after global warming? An Ice Age, its inevitable, its part of a cycle that this planet goes through, we can't stop it. |

Ugh... Yes. But sadly, each ice age requires a large ice mass. We currently have... You know what, just watch an Inconvienent Truth. You'll see what I mean. |

I've seen the movie, it still backs up no information you have posted. We're in a natural order, we all know it. We've just made it a bit worse. |

16 out of the 20 most polluted cities in the world are in China. China gets most of it's power from coal fire plants (They burned 800 million tons compared to 547 in the U.S.), more jobs are being outsourced there = more money = they're getting cars (By 2020, China will have 140 million private cars) = moving from rural areas into cities... They used 40% of the worlds concrete, 25% of the worlds steel in 2005 = more pollution. Their oil consumption has doubled in the past 20 years. Same goes with India. The U.S. is far ahead of these countries with hybrid cars, clean power, use of renewable resources. While Bush's environmental track record isn't good, it just seems to me like your ragging on the U.S. just because it's kewl. Especially what that comment about Bush's lies in Iraq and brainwashing. |

Yes.Now, if you'd like to post some proof behind your posts, I'd love to see it. Because all you've done is disregard other members' direct facts and post random opinions.

You're wrong, we don't require a large land mass of pure ice, with global warming, the temperature rises, with an ice age, it descends, which then freezes more water into ice. Then what happens? Global Warming again! AMAZING!! |

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice_age An ice age is a period of long-term reduction in the temperature of Earth's climate, resulting in an expansion of the continental ice sheets, polar ice sheets and mountain glaciers ("glaciation"). Don't try and call me out next time, you ignorant fool. |
