Orbital modeling results have suggested that the next ice age will begin about 50,000 years from now, regardless of man-made global warming

So, idk999, your wrong about the world ending in 10-20 years....

You're trusting Wikipedia on that? O_o

The problem isn't an ice age, but rising sea levels, floods, droughts, and fiercer hurricanes that will became more and more common.

Thats part of the cycle this earth goes through, its just that none of us have seen it before, so of course there is going to be a lot of hype.

I'm guessing you just love Michael Moore. On another note, should the debate portion of this be moved to Brain Juice, while the "please sign my thing and say if you care or not" stay here in gc?

Also this topic needs more OMFG!?!?!?!

edit: mr. camo = pwny.

Funny. I was merely elaborating on the fact that no one cares about Global Warming, while using my petition as an example. I'm hardly 'asking people to sign it.' Odd as it is, this topic was never ment to be a debate on "pointing the finger at who's responsible for Global Warming, and what's being done about it."

Funny, seemed to me that you were trying to make a fool out of people, except you were the one that was made a fool out of.

People can do what they want. Humans or electronics do not cause or aggravate Global Warming. It's a natural-occurring climate change, according to scientists.

Astheria- Yup. In Europe. Here in the US, we use what we like to call, 'Fossil Fuels.'

Not everywhere, no. Southern California has been taking steps already to prevent this. There are hydroelectric and windmill plants here that produce about 60% of LA's power or so. Where I live is completely hydroelectric produced, so hydroelectric power gives me the ability to type this right now. In some places, yes, but not everywhere.

Technically, America is a large producer of damage, because we have a large population, and a lot of money. We ride cars because we can afford them. China and other countries would too, but a huge amount of their citizens can't afford them, or cannot use them due to terrain issues. You try riding your bike from New York to California. :/ If most European countries were as large and wealthy, you'd see this too.

Besides, America is a leader is environmental technology. We're funding several thousands projects. California? Ok, please realize California is becoming the number one health spot in America. :ermm: Environmentalists flock to California due to its technology.

I personally am not switching to fluorescent lights. Lights aren't going to be a big change, because not every American is going to switch. Hybrid cars, yes. Modern non-harmful factories, yes. Light bulbs? No.

Please stop being extremely narrow minded. Go blame the countries that aren't doing anything, because if you haven't seen the news in the past few years, we are. The are thousands of more factories that produce ten times the amount of harmful gases than American ones do. You just don't realize it because we have more, because we're larger.

Nearly all countries are contributing, mostly evenly. America became advanced awhile ago, before global warming was even warned about. You can't just stop something, it's not our fault.

We are working together. The UN is trying to fix this problem, Congress is trying to fix this problem. If you want to complain, do it to the government, not us. Telling us to stop using water or stop driving cars is insane. Go tell Canada to do the same, I heard they drive up there as well. Mexico too. Don't blame America unless you blame every country.

Besides, incandescent light bulbs are way prettier.

America is such a huge country. It's got money...fortune...wealth...technology and even woman! America won't 'do anything' as far as I have read and learned. If anyone wish to withdraw that statement from my post please do...but it's the truth.
China in a slight way is like America.
There is what? 90 Million people in the world (estimate)...don't forget that humans breath out Carbon Dioxide...but I, myself, would say that would merely be 2%.
America is a huge country however Americans don't worry about it and they'll carry on polluting the atmosphere and will be responsible for thousands upon thousands upon thousands of deaths. And even a greater death - Earth for... most countries are stopping they're 'polluting'. 'Stay Green' and ' Go Green' those countries yell...sadly America does not listen and does not sigh the 'petition' and go green.
So my fellow IFSZ'ers... Why blame everyone when we can blame ourselves? We...yes we are doing the damage.
I’m not blaming America…I’m also going to go on at China as well.
For, China has more buildings than America…. it’s got more jobs and etcetera.
Therefore they are creating more Carbon.

No offence to anyone
