You know what I'm sick of? People making fun of other people, for no reason at all. Let me tell you a story: Today, we had to work out 3rd period P.E. well we just worked out and had 2 classes left, so we had to take a shower with everyone else, if you needed to. Well there were about 5 guys in the shower one being a good friend of mine. Three little immature pests come in there and he asks them, simply "why are you looking in here?" they run out snickering, no big deal, some people are douches like that. Well when he gets out, they all make fun of him. Calling him gay, and all this other bull**** that he doesn't deserve. He's a man about it and ignores it and goes back to his locker, but they can't leave it at that. They go to HIS locker and bother him, and he snaps, which I don't blame him. It takes four of our biggest guys to hold him off. The part that bothers me is the fact that he is a decent human. A little bit slower than most people, but an overall great guy. Will do anything for you, and is nice to everyone he meets. He's just a guy in high school, looking to get by, that wants to play some football. It was so uncalled for. The other part that bothers me is that I was sitting watching the whole thing and only said something once, and it wafter it was all said and done. It's really bothering me too, because this has been my good friend for the entire year. Coach paired us up to workout together, and we've had each others backs. And for me not to say anything about it is just as bad as those other ****s making fun of him. To turn this into a real thread, anyone else know something that happened like this? |

I've been in things like this. I personally wouldn't sweat it very much if you didn't take up for him like you think you should've. What I would do is talk to him. Apologize for not helping him, and try to let him talk about it. I know it kinda sounds like your the bad guy in this situation but YOUR NOT! You did nothing wrong, and it might've even helped both partys. Now maybe people will know what this guy is made of, and the guy that was bothering him, now knows that other people won't always put up with that crap. Sometimes, beyond popular belief, fighting may be neccessary. |

I know what you are going through. I've had one friend who dropped ketchup in her lap. The guys sitting next to her started saying she was on her period. I could have told them to beat it, but for some strange reason I said nothing. Looking back on it, I wish I could have. But, like your story, she beat the crap out of those guys, so they got what they deserved! |

You know what, hon? People just make fun of other people because they have to bring up their own self by taking others down, so all you and your friend got to do is ignore them. Not in a dramatic way because that's what they want - a reaction -, but just do it like you don't care and try not to! People aren't going to be nice; you just have to deal with it. Don't care about what he has to say and don't give him any of your time.

Yep. Sorry to be blunt but people are ******'s. That isn't to say all of them are, but some are. I get called a "geek" because I enjoy reading books and I do well in school. I also get called that because I happen to know a lot about computers. It doesn't bother me these days. I just reply with "Well, at least I'm not the one who's stupid and probably can't even read". Which, probably contradicts myself but hey. |

I remember your conversation with me last night on AIM. I agree with you, it takes some real immoral dick-heads to call other people names just because they need to feel better themselves. Calling other people gay and stupid just because they have to take a shower after a work-out is the stupidest thing you could do. I especially hate it when you just took a shower with other guys and now you're making fun of some other dude. On the other side, you should have stepped in and stopped them from saying anything more, but for the most part you don't want to make any enemies in the locker room. It's really a 'pick your fight' kinda thing. I witness this all the time, and usually I stand up for other people because I myself am usually a victim of harassment from others. Just tell them to shut the **** up and think about themselves being made fun of. |

Not to me personally but when I was at school this guy I hada crush on used the toilet a lot...i.e every two lessons. This other guy kept saying he was gay and saying he wanted to look at the other guys in there. I think he just ignored them. It works. Bullies are....the worst people. I think if I encountered bullies again I'd just stay confident in myself that I had the upper hand. Staring at them with an odd look on your face or simply laughing at them and get your friends to laugh at them too works. They look sheepish and wander off...or say something rude and wander off. In the end...words are just words. If they have to resort to attempting to upset others to make themselves feel worth it than feel sorry for them. They're no better than anyone else. Probably didn't explain what I mean very well...but friends do help. When I got bullied my friends would opt to not get involved or stick up for me in the slightest. Your friend is lucky you've got his back ![]() Also...giving them a reaction and attention is what they want. People say that a lot because it's true. Ignore them and they'll get bored. |

Bullies have one goal when they pick on you, for you to fight back. If you pretend not to hear them, or use your wit, you will become respected. Normally bullies won't understand the wit, and just pretend to laugh as they realize you're smarter than them. I don't understand, though. The three kids were looking at them, and they called him gay? Makes a whole lot of sense. =/ |

Never really been bullied... I mean, I consider myself a pretty smart guy. I've had my fair share of academic accomplishments, but at the same time, I'm just cool with everyone. I think I was bullied once for something that I don't remember, but when I would get bullied, I'd just laugh it off. Not a big deal. I was kind of a class clown anyway. ![]() Something like that happened to my sister's boyfriend, though. He was in high school in the locker room after gym class and some idiot kept bugging him. He wanted him to fight or something. He got so pissed that he just clocked him in the face. Keep in mind My sister's bf is like, 5' 7" and they guy he punched was at least 6 feet tall. Afterwards, the guy he punched walks up to him and he's all like, "Hey man, I'm sorry..." My sister's boyfriend said, "Yeah, I bet you're sorry dumb ass, don't ever try me again." |

Lolowned? Standing up to a bully is much more effective than letting them stand there and pick on you. When bullies bully the younger kids I put them in their place. You can be sure of that.

In short, middle school. 6th-8th grade, GOD we were all arrogant little jackasses. Now we're just arrogant ![]() Happens all the time in my school. Maybe not full out fights, but people making fun of each other is pretty routine, you don't even notice it unless you really pay attention. |

Some retards were calling me gay <_< They flunked 6th grade and 3rd grade I said"Go read a book you dumb asses and stop calling me homo-**** because I'm not".(Not being trying to be offensive with the gay thing). He then kicked me in the leg.I'm 5'3 and he's about 5'8.I gored him in the stomach with my head and gave him a nice uppercut. Bullying sucks and the fag that did that got suspended.I recommend you don't do that though.I also was on the bus and some stupid chick is all like"Your a nerd because you never get a B."(I had just gotten my report card and she had 3 F's :haha: )I looked at her confused and looked away |

Oh, I just thought of an instance. I was on a limo after winning some baseball game and we were going out to celebrate (This was like 7th grade) and some weirdo kept taking my hat and was all like "Ooh I got your hat what are you gonna do now?" Well, I gave him a black eye. The end.
