Taken before Mothers Day, and I gave all of these photos to my mom as a gift. I haven't edited any of them at all, not even to crop. :o I actually think most of them turned out pretty nice, but I'd like to get some other opinions. The camera I was using (Canon Rebel) isn't mine, it's the schools, but since I'm on yearbook staff I get the perk of being able to use it every now and then. =] So yeah here they are: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55834181/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55834625/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55834629/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55834642/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55834844/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55834908/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55834928/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55835231/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55835313/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55836182/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55836457/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55836649/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55836839/ Yeah there's a lot.

the only ones that stand out to me are lilacs one and four. all the rest, seem too snap-shotty. there's no real artistic composition or purpose. cropping can be a wonderful thing, which I know I'm pretty bad about, but a good rule of thumb is to fill the frame with the subject matter. exposure is way off on the odd shot, but most seem slightly overexposed. don't be too afraid of getting really close to your subject matter, you seem to stand too far away from them. |
