Music is a form of art and an expression of the artists themselves and should not be limited. Yes, you, I, and others may disagree with something the music talks about but we don't have to listen to it and it is their right to voice their opinion. I myself listen to one band that I didn't know was in support of Nazism and another that hates basically every group of people on the planet (Anal ****) so take my opinion as you will.

I think music that expresses hatred, anger, etc is fine...It is the moment someone turns it into actions that infringe on other's rights that it is no longer OK. There are plenty of musical forms I dislike for the message they send, the images they choose to use, and so on but I support their right to express themselves. I may not agree with their message but as long as they are not actually doing something that infringes on me somehow it really does not matter.

As far as listeners interpreting music as encouraging illegal acts and using it as a means to commit said illegal acts, it is in my opinion that it is the listeners responsibility to follow the law. Watching a violent movie, playing a violent game, or listening to violent music does not excuse the participant from responsibility.

I don't see a problem...Its a way for someone to express themselves...and they arn't hurting anyone for doing it.

Nazi punk is shameful, it gives a bad name to skinheads. Thanks to those guys, most of the world see's skinheads as racist neo-nazis, which aren't true about the lot of them.

Actually its not the music that gives them the bad name. Its their actions that give them a bad name. Namely when you see them on video celebrating their hatred for blacks. You can't hardly hear the lyrics in those songs anyways.

I think music like that is particularly disgusting (that includes rap that focuses on blood, sex, and drugs). More like the perversion of an art form than anything else. But its freedom of speech. The downside to that right is that occaisionally morons/racist bigots feel the need to express their views.
:/

The music and the actions of the neo-nazi skins give skinheads in general a bad name. Not all skinheads are racist nazis.

hatred in music is an outlet for the musicians. it's up to the listeners to interpret it as they will.

Sigh... well you know, you're right about the music having no structure. I used to listen to it a lot, and a lot of it most definitely does not follow the musical theory. Quite simply, the artists know nothing about how to put notes together so they sound remotely legit. In my honest opinion, it's the people in the studio who actually make it sound good.

Though I don't think it causes people to do that sort of... behavior. I listened to a lot of metal, literally loads of it everyday. Though I can truthfully tell you I never trashed my house or did anything rash. It's not very inspiring music and isn't going to make you do something stupid like that.

I'd say allow it. Banning certain music in this society would only cause resistance, which is worse than having the music in the first place. The messages may be bad, but... people who like it will listen to it, and people who don't won't, not much you can do about that.
