Indeed, personally I'd go with Guitar Hero II and I own both games.

My advice is not to get Gears of War, it depends what you're looking for though, really, I mean, if you like shooting games Rainbow 6 Vegas is probably your best bet, but as you have that Lost Planet is good too, not so hot online though. Dead Rising is a good game, so is Project Gotham Racing 3 and I'm guessing Forza 2. |

Oblivion's got my vote. It's a HUGE game that could take you years to get bored with. The only thing is that there's no online. Otherwise I'd say Halo franchise, then Gears of War. |

Also the other thing that makes gear of war an average game in my opinion, is it is so repetitive. Lets say you play 1 game, it could take 9 rounds to complete it. Each round goes very similar to the last. Then you switch maps. Lets say in a week, you play 6 games a night and each takes an average of 7 rounds. Then you would have just played almost 300 rounds of very repetitive gameplay in 1 week along. Imagine playing this game for months? I could never do it. Not to mention how cheep the shotguns are, I use them, and it is very easy to kill people.
Lol, you shouldn't have to have skills to play against cheaters. That just means there are a lot of cheaters in the game, which there are, making it a bull**** game in my opinion. Whenever I play, people run really fast using a common glitch, people chainsaw me with weapons other than the machine gun, and people get out of the map.
I am sorry, but if I use a shotgun and frag grenade tagging, I can kill people very easily. If this game took so much skill, then millions of people wouldn't be playing it. Especially all the kids that haven't hit puberty and sound like girls. Ever wonder why games like halo 2 are so popular? Sure, you can be good at that game, but it takes no skill at all to just be good. Games like rainbow six, and old ghost recon games had less people play it, and the average age was higher, due to the game being much harder and more patience is required. |

Which is what makes GoW so fun. I was playing with a few friends for about 5 hours last night while giving each other quick-fire questions which might pop up in our exams. Sometimes you don't feel like having playing strategically and you want to go all-out and see lots of blood. And because anyone can pick it up whenever they want and can get kills, it's a fairer game, unlike R6 where its a case of people with the Deagle and the Spas can win every round, simply because they've played it for longer. |

I'd have to say Crackdown actually, no idea why people brought it for the Halo 3 beta and then just sold it. >___> |

Let's make this clear, in Gears of War if you enter a game with pathetic cheaters.. Leave. Make your own game or find another one, it's not hard to find some good people to play with.. Gears of War is obviously the best game if nearly everyone that has xbox 360 owns it, and most of them love it. Graphics are immense, gore is at the extreme, it's tense and exciting, it never gets boring, it requires skill and practice and campaign and multiplayer are both great. There is really nothing bad you can say about this game.. It wouldn't get such unbelievable reputation if it wasn't brilliant. Rainbow Six is good but you die far too easily and the screen going blurry and dark when you get shot is a bit over the top, although I like the realisticness of the game, it ruins it a little. Guitar Hero is for babies. |
