It's funny how you immediately demean those who struggle to make money and actually have to take up jobs like that. Do you really think that every stripper strips because they like to do it?

Thank you. All of you who jumped all over the guy for this suggestion, READ that and embed it into your skulls.

Welcome to the real world, lads. Where your post count doesn't matter and making pretty faces to peope won't get you anywhere.

EDIT: Unless you're a hot girl, but I'll rant about that later.

Please do.

I suggest either taking out a loan, or set up a fund raiser.

I'm sure there are some people who wouldn't mind loaning him that amount of money.

Do the crime, do the time.

I'd agree here, but I don't know the full circumstances so I'll refrain from making a judgement.

I'd reccomend geting a loan, as others have said.

Work as a janitor as well, sure doesn't pay that well but it's usually a pretty easy job to get considering it is often done after hours so less need to have great customer service skills or anything.

But I agree don't bite the head off the guy for making a real life suggestion. It might be unfortunate but a lot of people do take that route. Would I do it? Absolutely not, even if I were in such trouble I couldn't...but nonetheless it is an option some people take. Course it doesn't have to be a gay club, there are a few oriented towards women :)

Sell your story to a few newspapers and shun the police force. I am sure you could make a few hundred dollars out of that.

Work as a stripper at a gay bar?

I know that sounds funny, but that is the easiest way I can come up with.  :ermm:

Thats wrong. You should be banned for saying stuff like that.

I came up with another reason:

Ask people for money. Any little amount will help. Say its for your friend thats getting sent to prison for the wrong reason. :/

Other then that one, and the other one I mentioned, I just can hope for you that he doesn't get sent to prison. ^_^

It depends on how much jail time there'll be but in my opinion jail doesn't seem so bleak (if the time is less than a year). It certainly should beat living on the streets and at least there'll be a constant supply of food for free. However if the jail time is too long, then I suggest taking a loan, then living off his grandmother until he manages to pay back the loan and save a bit of money to help pay back his grandmother.

Edit: This is what happens when I keep a topic in a tab for fifteen minutes, my points are already stated. :S

But the thing that really offended us was the 'gay bar' part. Not the stripper part.

So working in a gay bar offends people? I'm thinking that gay bars are probably more prevalent than male strip clubs for heterosexual women so wouldn't it be the logical statement to say gay bar? You're a bit too easily offended. :/

You're all fighting over a comment that didn't mean to offend anyway. Back on topic, that truly is a shame that he can't come up with the money. Meanwhile, people are practically throwing away that amount of money all around the world. Best of luck to him and his family.

He's been homeless, living with your grandma, for 6 years, so he's been provided for, and doesn't have a job?

I'd've kicked his leeching *ss out years ago.

If I've misunderstood something, please correct me.

I highly doubt you would kick out your own grandson if he was living with you. :ermm:

As Amberon has said, if its only for a year or so, it wouldn't be that bad due to the fact that you get free food etc. etc.

If it is for a long time, I recommend getting a lone from family members.

I know it's somewhat irrelevant, but just think our presidential candidates could be using some of their $100 million + campaign funds to fix problems like this, get homeless off the streets and into shelters with adequate food, etc.

:sigh:

He could go public, and hope to gain support. Contact newspapers and News shows.

Trust me. Compassionate people are everywhere, and will want to help a cause. I was raising money for Care Packages for our troops by standing outside of a walmart and taking donations. I raised 800 dollars in one day. Some people donated a dollar then came back later in the day to drop in a 50.

Sir, you win. If he has nothing to sell, all he has is himself... Most of you can't relate because you're like 13, but w/e
I personally wouldn't do that unless I was EXTREMELY desperate, as a last resort, but probably not a gay bar... just a female club type thing.

Hmm, I would just spend all the time I have until then going around town, collecting cans, collecting money from the ground in front of drive-thru windows, and other various stuff like that. It adds up quickly if you put in the time.

@mr danger: Not everyone that works at a gay bar is gay... They probably just need the money. When people are desperate, they take desperate measures, and you probably won't ever knows what that feels like, so be thankful for it.
