I just want to point out that this is a big deal, each year hundreds of thousands of woman are diagnosed with breast cancer and 43,000 die. And one out of eight woman either has or will begin to develop breast cancer in their lifetime. Also men can be diagnosed with breast cancer.

By supporting to find a cure for breast cancer, or ways to prevent it we can detect it early on and help diagnosed woman and men live healthy lives.

"The National Cancer Institute and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommend that women in their forties and older have mammograms every one to two years. A complete early detection plan also includes regular clinical breast examinations by a trained medical professional. Monthly breast self-exams are suggested in addition."

And yes, my grandmother might actually have this. I should have posted this a long time ago before it actually hit me that it is happening to one of my family members.

The problem with us is that we don't actually care about things until something happens to us. And that is the worst feeling in the world. And that is happening to me right now.

So please if you can, please help support free mammograms for women.

Pfft, people usually only start supporting diseases (especially celebrities) when one of their family members or friends are infected with/killed by that disease, how pathetic is that? And really, 1/2 of the supporters don't really do it because they care. fail.

Okay, why did you even say "fail"?

Yes the fact that most people don't care until one of their family members get it. Your right, except I already pointed that out. And you can at least say "I am sorry for your grandmother I hope she doesn't have it when she goes in for the mammogram." Never had to be a jerk.

You may want to modify your sig, it looks as though your supporting breast cancer when you are really supporting the fight *against* it.

Best of luck to her.

Breast cancer is a big deal. Although noone I personally know is afflicted, I always show my support by running the local Marathons. I'm going to one tomarrow in fact.

Best of luck to your grandmother, and anyone else who might be diagnosed with breast cancer.
