I'd *assume* that most skinners here have already taken a peek at the very least (or even attempted to edit it) of Zetaboards' CSS.

With IF about 99% of you are used to it appearing in this format:

Style A
Quote:

form { display:inline; }
img  { vertical-align:middle; border:0px }
BODY { font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; color: #69788E; margin:0px 10px 0px 10px;background-color:#FAFAFA; min-width: 795px;
max-width: 1400px;}
TABLE, TR, TD { font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; color: #69788E; }

The other 1% might find that so annoying they edit it themselves to look like this:

Style B
Quote:

form {
display:inline;
}
img  {
vertical-align:middle;
border:0px
}
BODY {
font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #69788E;
margin:0px 10px 0px 10px;
background-color:#FAFAFA;
min-width: 795px;
max-width: 1400px;
}
TABLE, TR, TD {
font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #69788E;
}

Then of course the Zetaboards CSS is split up. The top half deals with the style only. The second half contains the structure (padding/margins/widths etc) which I know a few of you do bother editing.

Style C
Quote:

/* Style ******************************/

img  {
border:0px
}
BODY {
font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #69788E;
background-color:#FAFAFA;
}
TABLE, TR, TD {
font-family: Verdana, Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif;
font-size: 10px;
color: #69788E;
}

/* Structure ******************************/
form {
display:inline;
}
img  {
vertical-align:middle;
}
BODY {
margin:0px 10px 0px 10px;
min-width: 795px;
max-width: 1400px;
}

Therefore question is...which does everyone prefer? What do feel comfortable using? Note that this isn't a poll I'm doing on behalf of ZB. The CSS for ZB will be staying like it is. What *I* need to know is which CSS styles to post :angel:

I may have skinned ZB but I didn't realise until editing a test board for myself how long it takes...and when you think "grr my padding isn't working...OHHH its somewhere near the end of the style sheet :( *searches*...*searches* Ah finally there it is! :D"

Disclaimer: The ZB css is sexy and yummy...I mean no harm towards it :r

A, it's easier to find what you want without scrolling past it and since I have Dyslexia, it will be less confusing with all those spaces.

I use B nowadays.

I never knew ZB used min-width and max-width, I've used min-width on my latest skin.

That's the first smidge of SZ CSS :P *WE* have min and max width.

B. I've never liked A, but I always just use it anyways.

I always use A when creating skins for it would take too long to change to style B however if I'm ever coding something from scratch, then I will use style B.

A. It's always just seemed more logical to me. Everything's there, and easy to spot.

B has the same principle, but i feel it's just wasting space. :/

100% agreed. I don't mind B or C, but it seems like they're just wasting room.

I use A, but I voted C, it looks like it'd be easier on me. :P

As much as I like style "C", I don't like to scroll all the way down or up just to find a specific class (although I can use Ctrl + F). But I guess it's more organized and easier to edit the properties that way.

I do like to see Nephos's idea combine with style C.

I usually just stick with A. Although C does look interesting and more organized.

Style A. I find it easier to find every property I wish to edit and I've become more used to it now.

STYLE B. I guess I'm used to coding websites like that, but I find it's the most organized and easy to read.

Style A, I don't skin, but sometimes when I write messages on like, a offline board message, or a pinned topic, like an announcement, I will look at the source and find the hover color... It just makes everything fit, and Style A makes it easier to find, :-p.

C takes up more room but makes it a lot easier for new or inexperienced skinners.
