I am the biggest Harry Potter geek in my school. I have nearly everything from it memorized XD. I read each book more than three times, and saw all the movies three times each. I'm going to HP5 on Friday the 13th, the TRUE day it was supposed to come out.
And when I get the seventh book, I'm staying up rereading all seven books so they are all fresh in my mind as I go to continue the series. XD
Do what I'm going to do and read a Harry Potter book each day in the run-up to TDH.
Exiled, the prophecy is about harry, either voldemort lives or Harry kills him. Neville can't do it, though as it was explained in the 6th or 5th (don't remember book) Voldemort could have just as easily made the prophecy about Neville.
I remember that, but there was something that made me think it was still Neville. I guess I have to break out the damn book <_<

Oh goodness, you have no idea how large of a fan I am. My room is covered in posters for all of the movies... most of them having Dan in the center (<3 ^.^). Anyways, my proof of obsession: Read Order of the Phoenix in less than one day approx. 7 times. Anyways, I'm a huge fan :P.
Well that is quite hard to believe, though I can't complain. It took me 3 weeks to finish OotP.
Reading has always been a hobby of mine... I read extraordinarily fast. However, I THINK you thought I meant I read OotP seven times in one day. That's not true, I read it seven times.. all seven times being in less than one day.

If Voldemort had chosen Neville to go after and kill, then I believe the series would be about him, eh? And besides, the last book is titled "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". It doesn't say Neville Longbottom and the Deathly Hallows". If it did, then Harry would not be important anymore.

I don't go fanatic about the books, but I read most of them. I LOVE the movies tho.

The only thing that makes Harry important is Voldemort's obsession with him because of the prophecy (which may or may not come true, Dumbledore has implied that it may not). Because he's so desperate to take Harry out he's more likely to make mistakes making it easier for the Order/anyone to nail him. Differently put, Harry and the prophecy are being used as bait.
The series is called "Harry Potter" because it is told largely from his perspective, not necessarily because he's the one destined to own Voldemort and save the day in the end. To be honest, that would be a disappointment to me. It'd be too easy and too cliché. I strongly dislike books or movies that thread down the most obvious path towards a predictible ending and, judging from the previous installments, such an ending would be completely uncalled for in this particular series.
Free your mind.

I guarantee there will be a huge twist, IMO it'll be Snape's good and Dumbledore and he and a prearranged agreement that Snape is to kill Dumbledore on the tower. But it certainly will not be Neville will kill Voldemort.

Hes sort of been there in the background for most of the books. I say thats a good twist, but I guess we'll find out when the last book comes.

Yup, just two weeks to go and you'll see I was right. Snape's a good guy.

I read some theory (well, watched a video...of the theory) that the last Horcrux is in Harry himself (Voldemort may have put it in him when he was a baby; lightning scar, etc) so he kills himself at the end. That would explain a main character dying and a twist. But I dunno if I really believe it, just throwing it out there.

How is that bad news? Rowling could've been crying because the series she's worked on for years is finally finished. It doesn't necessarily mean something bad is going to happen to him.

No. I, too, believe Harry will die.. just to kill off the series. However, I don't exactly see how that can prove the theory. Anyways, you guys checked out Emma Watson's new official 'site?

For 1, Not necessarily something bad happened to Harry. Neville could have done something heroic and died saving Harry etc.
2nd, It is very unlikely Harry will die(in my opinion). It would be bad for business to open a theam park based on a dead person, and the movies, If you learned he was going to die in the end, a lot of people wouldn't see all of them.
