Well, this time last year I posted the same topic and I'll do it again this year. ( For those of you who don't know what sports day is, it's basically...well, just read this. :P )

What events did/do you take and how did you do?

I came first in Javelin today, beats 2nd which I got last year. :P

Edit: Or if you don't do sports day, what track + field events do you enjoy/are you best at?

We use to have these in middle school. Don't have them anymore no in high school, but I used to be good I think. It was always team efforts, but if they were solo efforts I'd own with my speed and athleticism. =D

We use to have to ride a scooter back and forth in the gym as fast as possible. Hoola hoop while doing... stuff. Crawl through a tube as fast as possible. We had relay races and little obstacle courses. It was fun, but obviously built for little kids. I really wish my school would do something of the sort.

Sports Days in primary school were great, I wish we still did them in high school - I really missed them. :(
I remember in year 1 when I was forced to do the skipping race (with a skipping rope) and i fell over and everybody laughed. ^_^
It was pretty embarrassing at the time, but afterwards it seemed pretty funny. :P

btw, well done for winning the Javelin, Espalon. :)

I remember sports day, our 'form' was always rubbish at sports, we wouldn't aim for winning, just to take part, because as long as you completed the race or event, we still got a point, the trouble was that no-one would ever bother competing, I did the 800ms twice even though I am terrible at running.

I didn't do Sports Day since I'm in sixth form now, and I'm not a prefect so I wasn't asked to babysit, so I just want to ask:

Espalon, what weight javelin did you use and how far did you throw? Javelin's my event as well so I just wanna see.

Don't know the weight of the Javelin, but I threw it 26m. Brilliant since I haven't touched one in over a year.

Nice :D Yeah I didn't do any other training apart from like two weeks before sports day. We were never given the opportunity. The teachers felt cross country in the middle of the spring was far more productive.

My record (which I've never got close to since) is 33.5m with a 900g javelin.

Awesome. =] I looked in the records and the most our school has got was like, 35m.

We used to do them. And I was the best goalie, but our new principal hates sports. :(

Sports Day is normal in Malaysia. Kinda boring because my school doesn't include some events like the Long Jump. And there's always the part where the school is just wasting time with too many house practices.

No sports day, but I'm ok at long jump (3.75m) and 100m (13.5s).
