Okay, so I thought I'd get a little criticism and all on my graphics, even if I still am a newb with the whole Photoshop thing. Here we go:

[Did the one above in about fifteen minutes, and it was my first multi layered image like that with three shots of Ryan Ross. I'd seen various ones made before, and always wanted to do one, so I did.]

[This was made as a request on my new site, Decorated Emergency. An avatar matched with it below.]

[When I figured out how to rotate some text thanks to you guys on here, I got a little overexcited and made this in a flash. I kinda like it, but I think it needs some work.]

Well? How are they?

The second and last are quite nice..
I think its best to judge these based on overall appearance, rather than technical skills used to make them.

I can picture them working great for, lets say, someone advertising for models for their clothing line or something.

But yea, they come together quite well.
Good job.

That about fits, seeing as I use these things and generally make banners and such for RPG Forums and all. But like you said, it doesn't take much work to make them, but the appearance is what really is the pointer on these. I like making images look very appealing and elegant, grunge looking or generally just sprucing it up.

Thanks!
