What do you think of these? It's been a while since I got back into Photoshop, so yea. And I've been mixing around tutorials, GIMP stuff, etc.

The render looks messy. The stuff to the left is cool to some extent but the right side doesn't fit. The font of the text is bad, should be something simpler. For already cut out images go to; http://www.planetrenders.net/renders/ and that should help. For better colouring do the following.

Image > Apply Image.
Image > Adjustments > Photo Filter. Use a few of those and delete areas so it's colourful but not uber colourful.

After that pick some nice hexes(two different like, blue and purple etc.) then;

Image > Apply Image.
Image > Adjustments > Gradient Map.

Then you change the Blending Options to whatever suits (I usually use Soft Light then play with the Opacity.)

Also blend the render yet make him the focus. If you think you've overloaded it then Right Click on the Render, Duplicate Layer, drag to the top and play with the opacity, Blending options etc.

For the lighting I Apply the Image and use a blending option like Multiply, then erase my focus out of that so it stays light. Also use Screen and erase the background and play with the opacity so the focal point is brighter. Some other techniques are the Burn Tool and Dodge Tool. Dodge Tool lightens and the Burn Tool darkens.

Fonts. Always use simple fonts, say white then put it on Soft light.

Make the borders smaller or erase them overall. make the Signature smaller.

Well there's some tips.

Avatar's shouldn't really have text, well they can but they shouldn't over-crowd it and make it the focal point.
