I would say it's not a bad idea if you know you are going to go back eventually. I have some friends who are taking next year off, but they are the kind of people that could get a job making a nice wage and decide not to go back to school. That, I think, is stupid. |

Someone I know took a year out from Uni, got offered a job with a salary of £30,000 + and a company car, and never went back. I've thought about taking a gap year once I finish college, but I doubt I will. |
