One of my friends has aspergers, and he's able to describe what it's like which was a pretty cool thing to listen to.

The only bad mental thing I have is OCD's intrusive thoughts. Due to some info my mom gave me, I'm no longer paying attention to it. :)

I’m ashamed to say I’ve never actually heard of it. :ermm:

I volunteer at a camp for kids with autism. I don't really know what to say except that they all rock. I only know three that can actually acknowledge that they have the 'condition'. Can't really go into detail because there are protection rules.

It's pretty cool that you can talk about it though. I would like to hear more.

I was at a camp as a counselor last week and had 2 kids with that (5th and 6th grade), plus, one of them had horrible ADHD. They were both hell, and one of them was worse than the other, for obvious reasons. But, other than the occasional weird thing they did, they seemed like normal kids. Hell, the one kid was adorable, just a pain in the ass. I see a kid with mild aspergers as one of those sort of weird kids that are still cool to talk to, cause they're generally normal kids. But then again, I haven't met anyone with it that's around my age, or at least, that I know of.

What's the problem with it anyway? Like, how do you know it's hell, I've always assumed the kids had no idea that they were slightly different socially or whatever.

 :r

I used to have ADHD really bad, and there's proof all over this forum. Fortunately, it started going away about a year ago. I can tell I still have it, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.
