Replacement?

Ugh...how weird would that be if they undug Lily's grave and she had no eyes?!

But if his eyes have magical properties, then there's no seriously magical inclination to that in the books. I mean, we've never read of spells that concern eyes, have we? I've read them all, I think I would remember that...

No, but I can't think of much more it could be. We haven't heard why some people turn into ghosts and others don't, but we'll be finding that out in the seventh book.

What I'm really wanting to know more about it Petunia and Dumbledore, what have they been writing to each other for the past few years, and what about her will we find out?

I'm supposed to be getting the book at midnight tonight, but I'm sick today. But I'm going to try and go anyways.

Hopefully, I'll be able to go and get the book tonight at midnight. I was reading through some theories and I hit this interesting one on mugglenet.com in the Spinners End column. In her article predicting what will happen she brushed over this theory of Snape becoming a death eater in the very first place (long ago before James and Lily died) on Dumbledores orders alone. That he did not become a death eater off his own accord and come back, but that he had always been on Dumbledores side from the start. That I thought was an interesting theory. She had a Sirius quote to back it up because in the 4th book while the trio are in the cave with Sirius he says something like "I dont think Dumbledore would let Snape teach at Hogwarts if he was ever a Death Eater." She says that Sirius being the most biased towards Snape, didnt even think Snape had become a Death Eater... But anyway just figured I'd share that since it would be very interesting if that turned out to be true.

I thought we already figured that out from Sir Nick [Nearly Headless Nick] in the fifth book because Harry went to him and asked.

...maybe after reading all those books like that my mind's been fried. XD

I read all 6 books on a dare in 24 hours.

THAT left me ready to drop over though, 'cause I didn't finish until about 20 minutes short of the full 24 hours. I did nothing but sit and read all day.

I plan on knowing the whole 7th book inside and out by 9 am after I get it at the midnight release. Then I will be in utter horror because the series will be over for good.

You obviously have to much spare time. :P

I'm intending to read it within four or five days, mainly because I want to thoroughly understand the book, as opposed to just skimming through it to finish it quickly.

Oh, and the prophecy could not refer to Neville, because it was Harry that was 'marked' as an equal to Voldemort. Neville has never come into contact with Voldy.

My eyes would be screwed if I did that XD

Well, I already have glasses, so I don't think my eyes can't handle anything else...hehehe

Aw crud. There goes my theory out the window.

I did have alot of time to spare. And at that time I was [and still am] running a HP site, so I needed to know the books and everything about them inside and out for the RPers so they couldn't pull a fast one on their admin. =)

You all read too quick. :P

I'm currently nearing the end of the fifth book (I'm re-reading the last couple of books so I don't miss any important stuff, I've read the other ones enough :P) and I will most likely read the sixth book again before i even start on the seventh.

I take ages to read them, so I will probably be lucky to finish all three books by the end of August, maybe into September. :P

I'm not going to predict what I think will happen, I just want to find out what happens without random predictions going through my head. :P

I quit reading after the 4th one. We have like 4 boxes in the backroom where I work and they all say "Don't Open Until July 21st", but we did anyway :arr:

My girlfriend (she's obsessed with Harry Potter: both books and movies) and will probably get the book tomorrow. I won't buy it since I'm sure she will tell me the whole story as she's reading the book. :P

NO YOU DIDN'T! Please tell me you're lying!

That's horrible -- don't even joke like that. Scholastic is getting sued for selling the books to people before the release.

I hope to get the book tomorrow through the mail. If it doesn't come tomorrow though I may head up to the bookstore on Sunday and try to get one.

Anyone know where I can find a synopsis of the books so far? I started to re-red the books before this one came out three weeks ago, and I'm only on the fourth book (I can be slow sometimes XD) but I'd still like to remember everything about the books before I read the final one. :)

Um...I don't know where you can find one other than by reading off of Wikipedia, but I can provide the best play-by-play summary of all the books with details.

If you want.

I can't wait to read it, you can check up all the hints, plot areas which haven't been filled and such on Wikipedia. Does anyone know what site you can see the live feed of the reading at midnight (well, one minute past)?

The book will be read by JK at 12:01 BST, July 21st at http://www.bloomsbury.com.

Click on the first banner, it should say something about the reading. :D
