15-20 minute walk, it's always great to think when you're alone, or to chat if you're with people.

I used to walk or jog home after cc practice when I was in high school. Last walk I had was about 2 weeks ago, 20.3 miles with a 60-70lbs ruck :arr:

I walk to college. ^^ It's only a five minute walk. I actually spend more time walking inside the campus to get to the classrooms than actually walking to the campus from home. :P

as of now. Bus day in and out cause if I walk it'll take 2 hours.
Sometimes a friend drives us. Depends.

But when I was in school I walked. 5 mins. B)

Bus, there and back. The bus itself doesn't actually take too long (less than 5 minutes if there is little traffic), but the buses are unreliable and are often full. :/ No wonder I didn't have a great record of being on time for school last year. :P

erm, I'm cool and live down the street from my high school :P but I usually get a ride from my parents before school, and stay for practices after school and get a ride home from a friend who lives on the next block.

Living near by is a definite plus if I forget something though :P And if you think I'm lazy for not walking to school, think again, I run track and cross country ^_^

I had to walk home today from my high school.

It was over a mile away.

Took 45 minutes.

Had over 10pounds of books and binders.

Heat index was over 100 degrees. :( And I was wearing pants

I need to make sure I can ride home beforehand.

To make this a topic, how do you usually get home from school?

A mile? It was 100 degrees on monday and we had to run 5 for cross country with one water break.

But you don't have to carry over 10 pounds.

You wear shorts and short sleeved shirts.

You got a water break.

You're not out of shape. (I'm assuming)

15-20 minute walk. In the morning I usually walk alone since I like to get into school promptly. In the afternoon I often walk home or into town with a few friends, unless we finish at different times.

That's some good stuff, heck, I'm beat after 10 miles with that much. But the true questions are: How long did it take you (I'm assuming you weren't in much of a rush ) and what was the terrain like (flat, hilly), and also what you were walking on (sidewalk, trail, street, etc.). :D

On the days I actually go home right from school (the days I volunteer at the hospital all I have to do is cross the street) I ride the bus then have about a 10 minute uphill walk to my house. It's not that bad but people who don't make that walk regularly have trouble with it. :P

I walk 15 minutes to the train station; I walk fast, since others take 25 minutes. Then I get the train (15 mins) and once I get down at the door of the campus, I have to walk another 10 minutes to where I study, since it's at the other side of the University.
