Don't think negative, be confident. Just be yourself, don't be afraid of what the other person might think of you.

I find weed and liquor helped with my shyness. Though you were in a pub and probably drinking so it might not help you..

Just stop caring though, I mean, if you're on vacation, like you said, 99% chance you'll ever see her again so if you embarass yourself nobody will ever know.

i'm the same way, i haven't tried to stop it though, i just live with it. i'm generally afraid to say things, because i'd sound stupid, so i just sit and listen, and talk every once in awhile.

Talk to her like a friend. Just be nice, and maybe things will work out ^_^.

I used to be like that, and still am to a certain extent. However I was in a situtation similar to you, and I realised nothing is going to happen if I just look at her, so I won't over and she basically said 'No' anyway. After that I realised I had nothing to lose, and it's the same situation with you.

I'm shy too, but I've adjusted to being around girls more. I talk to my friends that are girls a lot now so it's easier when I talk to one that I like. Worst thing you can really do when talking to a girl is look in some other direction unless there is something to look at it. To get up to her, just take your mind off it, walk up, and start a conversation. Bring your mind back in after 3 minutes or so, and you will be talking to her. :)
