Lawl. If you don't want to ask her, maybe, let her ask you. :P You never know, she might tell you that exact thing a week later. :)

I think asking friends out is the most risky... that's what happened to me and a good friend of mine, we went out for like 3 months and we haven't really talked to each other since (we work with each other but we can't really talk to each other like we used to or anything). It kinda sucks.

I wish you best of luck with whatever you end up doing, though. :P

I made the mistake not to ask a girl half a dozen times. Go for it because your chances are limited.

If she says know, she says know. I still think you will be friends. It depends what shes like, man. Hard to say.

This is from a girl's perspective.

~The girl will not ask you out. Guys always, always should make the first move.
~If you ask her out and she says 'no', she won't say no unless she hates you.
~She will says yes cause even if you go out once it's not like you have to date eachother forever.
~If it doesn't work out you can always just break up and still be friends.
It happens... not just in movies

Unless she is a total prep and you are really emo then don't ask her.

OK, I read some of the responses. This is what I think would be best. Ask her, and a bunch of other people to the movies. Just so you can all be together. If you want, sit next to her. Then, wait a week or two, then ask to go to the movies with you. Try and let her pick the movie.XD Then...ask her, in an intimidating way. Don't say "Do you like me?" or "Do you wanna go out?". Be nice about say something like "Hey...I've been thinking about you lately...and I've been wondering..if you wanna be more than best friends? Blah blah blah". Something in a gentle spirited area. If she says yes, then...Well, your good to go, if you can keep it together. If she says no...the say something like "Its okay. I thought it would be nice..." (That's not the best, think of something in that area. Then try and forget about it. If she brings it up again...and she asks you why just explain why. You don't bring it up, at all. Most likely it won't ruin your relationship.

Well, this is one of those classics, (As others have said) which means, other's have been through it too.

Try this out for starters:

Talk to her over MSN, Phone, Text Message, Myspace, Etc... however kids these days chat to each other. then, just Casually (Keyword)... Slip in the question of, Hey (Her name), can i ask you something? Something personal?" Continue with: "Well, I sorta um... Have Feelings for you... you know, as more than a friend...." wait for her response... If yes, ask her to like the movies... just you and a friend and her and a friend... or if no, then just say... "okay... then maybe we can just be good friends until later." and continue with your friendship. It'll be awkward at first, but it'll ease up and you guys will be just as good friends, if not better, as before.
