My bus driver who is well into 70 or 80s, ran my good friend, shannon, dog over. What did she do....didn't even stop to let her off and told her the dog shouldn't have been outside. Infact a few blocks up at the next stop, shannon jumped off the bus and ran home. The bus driver then said she was now kicked off the bus for leaving. Where is her heart. She never said sorry, only that it was the dogs fault. Layle was just a puppy, shanon had her for 3 moths, saved her, and already she was a vauled member of the family. i've met her and she is so nice. To be so cruel to a girl whose dog you just killed, its horrifying. Please sign this Petition to remove this driver. Please I'm asking for your support. I hope to wipe our goal of 2,500 away. With ths sites backing, we can make this idea a reality. All you have to do is sign, nothnig more. I really want this driver off the bus for good. With your help, that just might happen.

This is serious, please be nice.

Why was the dog outside anyway? Sorry, I don't want to come over as mean, but usually it's better to keep dogs inside so stuff like this doesn't happen :X

They don't have a fence and she was running after shannon...the bus driver saw her...and she took to wide of turn cause she sucks at drivers...just sign this even if you agree with the fact she may not have supposed to be outside.

I don't agree with online petitions, it sounds like you should be speaking with your principal or bus director about this. Especially about suspending her off the bus, I mean her dog just died, that's extremely cold hearted, and plain stupid. Leaving the dog there to die if it already wasn't, that's just the lowest. Good luck to you and your friend, I'm sorry to hear about it. =[

You realize that while you may feel that this justifies the death of the dog that it will put this woman out of a job and she won't be leaving on good terms, this could make a huge negative impact on her life.

While it is sad that the dog died, and the driver could've been kinder, I don't believe this is something to ruin another persons lifestyle over.

He mentioned that the dog was still a puppy, and therefore, probably not very well trained (yet). It might have just slipped out the front door or out of it's collar. Also, if it's anything like my dog, it may be attracted to loud noises; my dog always goes crazy when a loud vehicle goes by. I can fully understand how this could have happened; I know that I've feared that my dog would be hit as she has run away once or twice in the past.

As for the petition, I'm not gonna sign, and tbh, you probably won't get many here. Though the bus driver sounds cold, I'm not sure that this is the right action to take. If you really want to do something about her, then maybe talk to the bus company/the principal of the school.

The bus driver was retired...but came back for no reason....its like she isn't well off on her husbands money and her retirement already. What life is left to waste. The principle only heard her side..not ours..she laft out the girl crying and what she told her...he is misinformed and won't listen to a bunch of kids anyway....thats just life. but thousands of voices will be heard even if your not listening.

The bus driver might not be as well off on her husband's money as you think if she's choosing to become a bus driver again; unless it's some type of hobby. I understand maybe she was a bit cold or seemed totally rude in the situation, but it's her job. She's most likely not just supposed to stop the bus at an area that's not a stop, no matter the circumstances. I do think the kicking your friend off of the bus was a bit much.

As for the dog, it is a puppy. The owners probably should've been more careful and had a fence up or something if there was a risk of the puppy getting out. No doubt, I feel bad. It's sad when a pet that anyone loves dies & I'm sure it's hard on your friend when she loved the puppy so much.

I did not choose to sign the petition. You should probably speak with the principal again, or have your friends parents do so. They can explain the situation better.

Good luck :)

We had a written petition in school but they wouldn't look at it. She came out of retuterment per request because my old bus driver retired and they were short. Its like she just wanted to drive agian..the school just asked her to.

I’m not going to sign, and I don’t agree with online potations like this. The way I see it, all this petition is going to do is create negative feelings and lets face it; we don’t really need any more of these in the world at the moment.

If you’re truly concerned which I’m sure you are, talk to the bus drivers employer and see if you can work something out.

Besides, who are we to comment? We weren’t at the scene; we don’t know you, your friend, the puppy or the driver. The bus driver’s employer isn’t going to care what a group of teenagers over the Internet think about.

I didn't sign. I'm sorry for the dog, but I think that anybody who didn't actually witness the incident is in no place to judge. :(

I wish you good luck for your petition, and I hope the dog rests in peace.
