First off, stocks are found on stock websites, CDs, etc. Not pictures off deviantART, Google or any where which doesn't say the pictures are stocks. Unless you get permission of course. Both are pretty simple by messing around with adjustments/blurs/etc. and the contrast kills the first. Seconds isn't that bad but that's only because I like the original photo.

2nd looks like you followed a beginner's manip tut.....because i've seen that stock and outcome way too many times.

Yep.
I like the manip of the first one, but I think the stock looks better than the manip with the waterfall picture.
