she's not being a ******* attention *****, she puts a great deal of depth into her characters, and homosexuality is a reality in every society, even a magical one. and the end of the harry potter books is definitely NOT the end of jk rowling's fame. |

No Dumbledore is not gay. Dumbledore does not exist. I do not get why people are getting so worked up over this hes a fictional character and has no ties to real life. ( HE'S A WIZARD! ) And they shouldn't have a problem with it even if he was a real life character. I feel bad for Richard Harris though having this sprung on him.

Yeah, but if you're a good author you can create characters that people care about and are interested in. Personally, I was glad she made him gay. It was nice to see that sexuallity doesn't just stay in none fiction life. It makes it more believable. Although I would've thought Snape to be the gay one.... |

And him being homosexual should be just as intriguing if not more. |

Though he does not have to partake in an extremely homosexual scene, but on all the Harry Potter news websites that are talking about the fact of Dumbledore being gay, Harris's picture will appear with the story. Therefore, many will mistake him to be homosexual, when he is not. x_x |

I don't think someone thinking you may be homosexual, simply because they didn't read an article, is bad. I wouldn't mind if someone thought I was homosexual, and I especially don't mind illiterate people thinking I'm homosexual.XD I just know I'm not, and I'm fine with that. But I can see where you're coming from. |

It's reality and a vital aspect to our complete education. You may not appreciate it at your age, but at some point it'll click and you'll understand. FYI, To Kill a Mockingbird is a fantastic book. Give it a chance.

yes, no need to embarrass dumbledore. btw I was a bit suspicious even before she mentioned it. I always thought it was a bit strange how he was so fond of harry and stuff and blah blah blah. plz don't say that I am stereotyping because this was BEFORE she mentioned it. |

The only way to prevent a repition of the past is to learn about it. If we didn't and we forgot we would just make the mistakes over again. In germany now, after the world war almost all evidence of the World War was destroyed and its really starting to worry people. ONE, one small section of the berlin wall stands and its a great symbol for man to look down upon and aspire to never reach that low again. Hate crimes are still happening today, In alabama (I think?) 6 black people are being put on trial and risk being put away for life sentences (one already has), for a school yard fight. A fight which happen because the boys refused to move from the "white only tree" and nooses were hung the next day. A fight, I myself was in 3 when I was a kid, one was much much worse than this one But these kids are being put into jail because there skin is a few pixels to dark. It's revolting. We need to learn to accept people for who they are. So that these attrocities can never occur again (unfortunately they will happen again, even if these books change one persons view on life. They have done a great deed.) Link here: http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/0...-youth-fac.html |
