no, not without some work on your part. http://domainlagoon.com gives you domains if you complete surveys and offers. and there are a few sites that give you domains of you are active on their forums (and remain active).

You can get domains such as .us.to and .uk.to and more from a place called... If you have firefox put 'freedns' into the menu bar! Though if you wanted to expand to a .com or .co.uk etc. you'll have to pay, don't bother with the serveys

The surveys take like a week to complete, but you get a free domain, why shouldn't he do them? You'll end up with a lot of spam, but hey, it's a free domain ;)

Like those 'How old are you, would you be interested in our car insurance" type. If you use your real address and phone number, prepare for an onslaught of annoyances from spam.

The price varies. However $20 is simply to much.

I suggest you buy your domains from namecheap.com, name.com, domainsite.com and godaddy.com. They offer complete and reasonable rates.

Also they don't cost that much in the above addresses, especially if you go to name.com, they charge $5.99 per domain name. I agree they don't cost the world, so it's better if you just buy the domain, instead of doing surveys.

Yes, for a year. If it was 'forever', then domains that don't get used, would be a waste of time and a waste of space especially if you was looking for a domain name that coincided with the same name as your forum. - However the domain name world is pretty damn clogged up; as it is!

It really doesn't cost that much, if you are complaining about the price, then don't get one, but as I said, you can perhaps regain your money over the year by putting ads up or anything of the sort. I mean I have near over 50+ domain names and over the year that I've bought each individual domain names, I've probably recouped more money than that of what I've paid for them essentially.
