Hello, I'm running Windows XP, yet to get Vista. But, I just remembered that I don't remember my account password lol. I need help, is there any way to figure out how to find the password now? I'm still on the account, I'm just afraid of the computer restarting/power outages/etc. and I'll have to input my password. so is there any way? Thanks, PDZ. |

Not that, I need help finding my current password. And, I can't change it if I don't have the previous one.
Would there be any way to do so on this administration account? My account right now is the admin. I just forgot the password. |

Just create a new account, set to Admin. Under XP you can access all the other user's folders from an Admin account. So you could delete your old account, and it will ask whether you want to move all the file over to a different account when deleting it. Or you could move all of them yourself (I would probably advise this). |

the problem is he can't change the password because he forgot it... and doesn't want to start over... reading the problem is a pretty useful thing to do when you're trying to solve what's wrong.... |

Well then there's pretty much nothing else he could do. Is there a feature to e-mail you your password? |

there isn't some website or person somewhere with all the passwords to every windows log in in existence... and it is possible, actually to change the password without knowing it, I forget what it is, but it can be done. |

If you are the only one who uses the computer, that's sad. Who the heck would have a password for their personal pc? And...how do you forget it. If you don't shut your computer off its bad. >_> Learn basic computer care and smarts before trying to save yourself from hackers in your own house.XD |
