I put Ubuntu 7.10 (Gibbons) on a CD and when I reboot with the CD, it doesn't work. BTW,it only works in the DVD drive.

try reburning at a slower speed (4x). Unless you didn't go to the boot menu at startup. Its F12 I think (but it may be different for other computers) from there you select boot from drive.

It still loads when i launch it. Like I have the Disctree running now.
Oh, and when I reboot windows, i press f8 but there isn't an option for boot sequence.

try using the bios instead of the boot menu to change the way devices boot and burn at lower speeds if that fails
