Using Google Talk on Pidgin

Yeah, so I have Pidgin 2.3.0, and I use AIM and YIM on it, but I can't get GTalk to work. I tried the instructions on Google, but they don't help. Then I tried using the advanced setting instructions, but those don't help, either. It just keeps saying, "Not Authorized. Pidgin will not attempt to reconnect the account until you correct the error and re-enable the account."

EDIT: Picture Of The Window That Pops Up When I Try To Log Into GTalk From Pidgin:

Pidgin randomly won't connect to msn sometimes. Usually I restart it and it works. Have you tried reinstalling?

I don't really know what pidgin is, but, from the sounds of it is's an im thing, so, try making a new gmail account. See if it works, because it would probably help solve the problem if you knew if it was a problem with the software or the account. If it's the account, maybe you could try changing your password or something? see if that workks

OK in the advanced tab do this:

Force old (port 5223) SSL: Checked
Allow plaintext auth over unencrypted streams: Un-Checked
Connect Port: 443
Connect Server: talk.google.com
Proxy type: Use Global Proxy Settings

and click register, it will pop up with the not authorized message, click ok. Then in the add/edit accounts settings just check the enable box next to google talk then close.

Do you have screenshots, and what about the Require SSL/TLS thingy? Do I check or uncheck that.

I don't have GNOME proxy settings. I only have Global, No Proxy, HTTP, SOCKS 4, SOCKS 5, and Environmental Settings.

You cant unless your running Linux...

Just let the error come up, click ok. Check the box on the add/edit menu that says "XMPP"

The gnome proxy thing your seeing wouldn't help you in your situation - its an OS[operating system] like XP, Vista, but still this is weird.
