John Lennon and Dimebag Darrell were both shot and killed on this day in history. RIP.

Although they didn't die on the same day, there are many that could be added to the list. Lennon, among many others, played a large part in my life as I was growing up (yeah, I'm old lol).

Janis Joplin
Jimi Hendrix
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Mama Cass
Jim Morrison
Jim Croce
Elvis Presley (liked some of his stuff but not all)
Bing Crosby (duet with David Bowie ("Little Drummer Boy - Peace On Earth").
Keith Moon
Tom Fogerty
Freddie Mercury
Frank Zappa
Syd Barrett
Ronnie Van Zant

Just to name a few. There are so many more. For those who might be interested there is a site dedicated to listing deceased rock musiscians:

Well... I did list Bing Crosby and Elvis. They definately weren't young when they died. Take a look around at some of the rock stars that are still alive and playing that are in thier 60s. Even Led Zepplin is getting back together with Bonham's son, Jason (age 41), taking Bonham's place.

The concert is tomorrow December 10th at London's 02 arena.

Sorry but that was no accident. Having been born in 1967, he had no musical influence on my childhood years. I was born in 1959.
