Normally buying gifts for friends and family and listening to holiday music helps me get into the holiday spirit. But this Christmas I don't feel like wrapping presents and we haven't put any decorations up yet. As a result I'm feeling kind of "Bah Humbug." So I was wondering what everyone else does to help get themselves in the spirit of the holidays? |

Definitely seeing the Christmas lights and decorations that surround the area. They put me in a really good and awed mood. I admittedly don't listen to much Christmas music myself, but I enjoy putting up the tree quite a bit. It's comforting waking up ever morning and seeing it before I leave for school.

Singing along to Christmas songs, decorating the tree, and definitely driving around to see all the Christmas lights... I haven't done any of that so far this year, so I know what you mean. :sigh: |

Me too. Snow also makes me into Christmas. But the past year or two I haven't really been into any holiday and I don't know why. I think it might have something to do with this growing up and memories and crap like that though. :sigh: |

Hmm, probably right after there is a snowstorm when there is chear skies and no wind, where you can see an inch of snow on all of the treebrances. Very pretty. Also the small on gingerbread cookies. Those are yummy. Just taking a wiff of them puts me in a good mood.

I'm not really a spirit sort of person, not believing much in the concept of the holiday, as an Atheist. However, the bright lights and sitting inside a warm house watching the cold snow fall, sipping warm hot chocolate always makes me feel warm inside. ^__^ |

Its usually all about how your individual family reacts to it, if they're more in the spirit it just automatically lights you up. Decorations are key aswell, just because they are symbols. Humans need symbols for basic comprehension, if their missing.. how can we really know its there? |

Generally it's the freezing cold whether and the thought of being at home nice and warm. I also particularly enjoy seeing the decorations up and the presents under the tree, I also love seeing christmas lights all over the shops in the city.
