This has got to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Andentire diocese has actually voted to leave their Christian denomination because of its inclusion of gays and women.

Isn't Jesus supposed to love everyone? Isn't the entire point of the Christian religion to help people feel love from God and to help those in need of some spiritual guidance? I thought Jesus Christ accepted everyone, not just people who met a certain criteria.

The whole reason there are different denominations of Christianity is because there are different interpretations of the Bible, and what Jesus may or may not love. According to many denominations, you'd be wrong with your assumption of what Christ accepts.

Maybe I'm just exhausted from exams, but I really don't see the problem here.

Also, you have to sign up to see that article I think. o_O

As if radical denominations didn't judge others enough; people who aren't even religious have to judge radical religious denominations. Live and let live, already. I honestly don't see how petty Christian squabbles are any concern of those who have "denounced" religion; the type of people this topic appears to be catered to.

I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, but I'm having a great deal of trouble understanding why the atheists and agnostics here care so much about the troubles of the church, and subsequently attacking organized religion for adhering to beliefs that they do not share. Not that I'm trying to defend the church; I'm about as far from religious as you can get, and that's why I could care less about some bigoted diocese splitting off from its denomination.

That's just my $0.02. Very off-topic, but I guess I just felt like running my mouth off. Hahah.

I read about the division regarding the Episcopalian church sometime last year and was surprised to see it in the news the other day for voting to separate. I have a problem with denominational differences in general, so I wasn't too happy to hear about it, but I don't know much of anything about the Episcopalian church so I'm not personally concerned about it.

btw... there is a difference between love and acceptance. There are certain things that everyone agrees on... people just misinterpret a lot of things.
