Upset with Advertisements

That bar of them that plays across the top of the forum pages. Oh... my... gersh! It's not been too bad but lately they have been a few that are completely inappropriate. Girls in nothing just about, then there is way too graphic horror images. Ya'know, that's not the kind of stuff I want to see when I log onto mine site or what I want other people to see. It just really bothers me. And what about the younger audience that finds there way there? They really should but some sort of filter on because there is a lot of embarrassing stuff they let through. It really upsets me. Makes me put on an eye patch and say 'arr' upset... :arr:

^o)

Anyone else have this problem or would like to vent (which is a therapeutic word for complain), please, fell free.

There's nothing they can do about it. Don't see why it upsets you, either.

If you're that bothered, get Adblock; https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10

Actually, many times you'll see a little bit of text right below the ads "Feedback - Ads by Google." By clicking that link you can report inappropriate ads that appear on your board.

For me, I don't know that I've noticed ads in years. After a time you grow so accustomed to their presence that it is as though they aren't there.

I haven't really seen any inappropriate ads. Some of them are really strange, but none of them have been too bad.

I use Adblock so I haven't seen an ad in a year or more.

I tend to just ignore them. They cost a lot of money to remove, and they don't really hurt anyone.

Well.. depends on the ad. Say you're driving down the road on on an ad there's a hot lady (or for the ladies, a hot guy).... you get distracted... what then....

but, that's on the road an a completly different topic.

But yeah... I don't ever notice ads, even if they are those pop-up ads...

The internet, it's a long highway lined with hot chicks...nice.

Dont have your board contain keywords that trigger such ads then?

The only ones that annoy me are the "Do not click here if you're under 18!!111". In my opinion, that's not something Google should be letting on their advertisements.

But I Adblock the advertisement box, so I'm set. If you have Firefox, I suggest it, it's such a handy tool.
