I have been asking people i know and some old random friends, but so far it has gotten me no where. This is something that some random person may have the information I need, so a forum might be a perfect place.

My girlfriend and I are both under 18, and she lives in a ****** up house. She lives with her old brother who is an alcoholic drug abuser. Has hit her before, doesn't give her money, barely feeds her (she goes to bed hungry every night), etc. He gives her no rights at all, and won't even pay for her medical needs when she needs it. My family is willing to let her move in, and I don't think the brother will fight that at all.

Here is the list of problems. She is an illegal immigrant (And please, no debating anything about illegal immigrants. She came here as a small child, she has done nothing wrong, she speaks better english than most of us.), legally she is suppose to be living with her dad (who lives in a different state), and stuff like that. How the hell do i go about this process.

If anyone can direct me to a website, phone number, anything, it would be appreciated. i am going to go talk to a church this weekend, and if it matters, im living in VA

If I were you, I would first call her father. Then direct both the father and your girlfriend to an immigration lawyer, that can help get all of the papers straight.

Cyril is correct. You won't be able to accomplish anything until your girlfriend's status is legal. Once she has legal status then you can work on her living conditions. As things are, if she moves in with your family, it is putting your family at risk for criminal charges and civil suit.

I don't know about VA or even if where I used to live still has it on the books, but, at least at one time in some states (mostly southern states) once someone turned 17 they could legally move out of thier parents house and there was nothing the parents could do so long as the 17 year old did not cross state lines.

The first step is to contact an attorney that specializes in immigration laws and then to contact her father. Not knowing what her relationship with her rather is like, it might be best to have the attorney contact him.

Good luck.

You really should contact the father, and get a lawyer. Besides that, do you have any relatives, or very good friends around to help you with this madness?

If I saw your girlfriend's brother doing that to her I would honestly kick his ass.

Even in the case that it isn't true it would be best if you made sure she was is able to live in the states legally. Just to make sure there is nothing wrong.

go live with her in her real country.

Oh yes lets go move to [Insert country here] and it will all be fine. Most probably she left the country due the how the country is run. Most illegal immigrants come from countries that are in the middle of a war or the government are making stupid decisions on how the country is run.

If I was you, I would contact a lawyer and get it sorted out. I am sure if you was to explain how she came to live in America and what her current situation is, they wont deport her.

When did he say she was Indian? <_<

If her brother wouldn't object then I'd just do it, I mean, nobody'd even have to know if nobody caused a fuss.

Then you obviously do not understand how the legal system works. If (or rather, when) she gets caught, she WILL be deported, leaving only heartache for both parties. OP: You're going to have to either sort out something long-term and guaranteed, or end the relationship.

You can close this, i forgot this forum is filled with people who think they are funny, but are a bunch of pre-pubescent virgins who are as dumb and meaningless as their lonely depressing lives.

Apply for a green card, you get all the information, sign her up after she is prepared, and then take the test. It was easy for my baby sitter, stuff about presidents and what not were the questions.
