Some examples from this week... Someone at a store was like 'do you need any help?' and I thought they were talking to me so I answered, but then I realized they had a walkie-talkie in their hand....oops...lol I always walk into people in the hallways, and that's always reaaally awkward especially if you keep trying to move off to the side in the same direction, if you know what I mean ![]() I tried to walk away from someone who didn't know how to end their rather uninteresting story, so they just kept repeating it until I was able to get away, and then every time I saw them afterwards, they kept starting to tell me again ![]() I waved at someone who was waving to someone behind me... I was standing sorta near the vending machine, trying to decide what I wanted while also thinking about random other things, and so I was standing there for a couple minutes not really doing anything. ...then I realized there was a line of 3 people just standing there giving me really weird looks XD In band, we sit in a semicircle type thing, so when I stare forward, I'm staring right at someone, and they must think I'm soo weird because I'm always staring at them unintentionally.XD I could go on...

LOL those are almost exactly like my most awkward moments. I hate people who talk with a headset because I think they're talking to me

There was a youth group I went to a little while back. The person who organized it didn't do a very good job of it, so one time I went to one and I was the only one there. So we talked a little about the group inbetween awkward silences. After a short time, he just offered to drive me home (don't worry, I called my mom first and she knew he was going to drive me home). Plus the fact that I'm shy didn't help. So yeah....awkward. x_x And it's always awkward when you think someone's talking to you and you sort of respond only to realize they're talking to someone else. |

My most awkward moment.... hmm.... oh when I was at school and it was DEAR (drop everything and read) time and I was sitting next to my boyfriend and it was all quiet and I accadentaly well, farted. It was soooo embarassing!! I was all like, "Wasn't me!" And my bf started laughing and a girl said, "Samantha, did you just FART?" and everyone else laughed. It was my most awkward moment. I think...

I was once walking along the corridor at college, and three of my friends where close behind me and we where talking as I was walking along. I kept talking without giving any thought to where we where going and turned around and my friends weren't behind me. Turns out I'd walked along the corridor for about 50 meters talking to myself. These four girls where behind me the whole time laughing. It was really quite embarrassing. One other time, I was sitting on the back seat of the school bus with another girl, but in opposite corners, and neither of us where talking to each other but we where the only ones on the bus. Then she blurted out; 'so where are you going on holiday this year?', at which point I woke myself up as I was half asleep, and replied 'I don't know, we've not booked it yet.'. Tuns out she was talking to her friend on the phone. <_< Other times just include being with a group of friends, and there being an awkward silence after someone's told a terrible joke, or a conversation has come to an abrupt close. But, on the whole, I tend to try and avoid awkward situations.

Ouch. Very awkward. I once was at DisneyLand and my mom thought we saw one of my old friends named Morgan. But it was from the back. So we turned her around and I hugged who I thought was Morgan and it turned out it was a DUDE! |

I work at a grocery store as a cashier and/or bagger. I'm usually up front near the check lanes but occasionally I have to do what called "Overstock"; which means I have to place all unwanted items back on the shelves where they belong. From time to time I will come across someone using a bluetooth headset. I'll be quietly putting things back on the shelves when they walk by and ask the person on the other line a question. Without even thinking I will answer the question. This tends to annoy me because they give you this odd look as if you are supposed to know they were using their headset. |

I have awkward moments every day with my high anxiety level. I'll be completely normal one moment then the next I will be bouncing up and down while I walk, or so my mind tells me. I generally have hallucinations every day too. A lot of times when I go into public I feel like every single person visible is starring me down. My junior year in high school was the most awkwardest time of my life because that's when my anxiety and all my problems in general went haywire and being around that many kids at once made me feel even more awkward. I felt as if when I told speeches in front of the class every single person in the room was whispering to each other saying how weird I was and other disturbing thoughts. Hearing voices was never fun and I'm glad most of that has gone away. Sometimes it feels like I spout out random words and start talking in this deep voice when I start to feel anxious. My anxiety drives me up the wall and makes me feel awkward most of the day generally. |
