They'll play their first series of the season this weekend. The series will be held in Boston.

As far as the games go:

Friday
NYY: Wang (2-0, 1.38 ERA)
Bos: Buchholz (0-1, 5.40 ERA)

Saturday
NYY: Mussina (1-1, 3.09 ERA)
Bos: Beckett (0-1, 9.64 ERA)

Sunday
NYY: Hughes (0-1, 5.00 ERA)
Bos: Matsuzaka (2-0, 1.47 ERA)

Should be a good series. Hopefully, Becket and Buccholz can overcome their lousy performances.

Also, they'll play each other again in a 2 game series next Wednesday and Thursday.

One more hour until the deciding game of this series. I hope Hughes pitches well and the offense picks up. We'll probably need it against Matsuzaka. I hope neither team blows the other out (highly unlikely anyway) and it's another good game.

Red Sox won. :P

As far as the Yankees go, they could. But their pitching staff is too young, and inexperienced. The hitting is very good, though. I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the running for the Wild Card.
