I was a bit disappointed to find that admin has to approve all username changes. I personally have never come across this feature before where it's the only option. Usually you add admin approval for username change as an extra, not in built. Anyway, please may you include the option for members to change their usernames without requiring admin/staff approval. It would make it easier for forums where username changing is common (I have forum events that requires a person to change their username). Edited by Chelonian, Sep 6 2016, 12:36 AM.

It seems like a good group-specific option: Name changes for users in this group automatically self-approve with a Yes/No option. |

That still involves administrative actions. I find adding people to a group is more a chore than it should be. You have to go to admin panel then search the person then click edit profile and then you can add to group. On another provider I just came from you could add to group by simply going to their profile and clicking a tab called groups then simply click 'add to group'. |

Not exactly. All of the members already are in one group or another. The suggestion DaPizzaMan suggested is pretty good, because You only would need to edit all of the groups once, and then allow or disallow automatic name changes. And You can quickly move Your members from one group to another using Member Autotools. You then can move them from one group to another right in their profiles without needing to enter the ACP. More info there: http://docs.zetaboards.com/acp/autotools/member |

I agree with my colleague from support. This would be fairly easy to implement as a user group option. I would suggest a slightly more simple option name: Can change name without approval Yes| No. And maybe also Limit name changes to X times per Day for those admins who fear abuse. But yes this seems reasonable and should be something relatively easy for Brandon to add. |

I would change this to "Limit name changes to X times per 30 days", since it's highly unlikely that a user would change their name more often than monthly. Or maybe even "Limit name changes to X times per Y days". |
