On a forum that I had years ago, I had some coding done by a member there that recorded information of each guest that came onto it, showing the following:
Code:

Source: <site URL where the guest came from, like from a Google search>
IP: <the guest's IP address>
Date/Time: <the date and time of this entry>

When it was done, it was uploaded to that member's own server and I was the only one that can have access to it, so that I see what unique guests have been on the forum while I was away. As far as I know, the script was written in JavaScript but when I viewed it, it appeared as like a text document showing each record of a new guest per paragraph.

I'm not sure if this can be done as it doesn't really modify a forum as such... just something made for the forum even though it's mostly an outside source. I apologise if this wasn't clear enough but I hope you get what I mean from this request. Thanks in advance :)

This would not be possible without PHP and MySQL, which means you need to have a server.

Oh... I see. Well I can't make one myself as I know nothing about all this. Don't know if anybody else could help with it.
