Hi! My board (http://s8.zetaboards.com/Anime_Red/ ) just got transferred from IF to Zetaboards and I'm still trying to figure out everything. Quite the overwhelming change, eh? My biggest problem appears to be in the themes, though I'm sure I'll figure out the difference in CSS soon. Until then, I have some basic questions: How do I add a background image to the board? *update - I've figured this one out, but not how to repeat both x and y, or just stretch the image to the screen.* How do I change the width of the tables over all? How do I center the banner image? *Update - Figured it out* Addition: How do I float an image left/right in a post? That is, have the image next to the text instead of above/below it. You'd think BB would have a [float:right] option... I've grabbed some skins off the gallery temporarily until I figure everything out. Was additionally wondering if there's a guide for self-converting CSS for IF to CSS for Zeta? I don't mind doing the knitty gritty. Edited by KrazyKelli, Jan 17 2018, 12:41 PM.

You can stretch the image to fill the background by using the css property. You can view examples here: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/background-size
I don't quite get this. Sorry. If you want to resize all the tables you could probably just so something like
There is no such functionality as far as I know, but you could probably have a look in the resources forum. Or if I have the time, I could probably think of something that could work. |

Remove the repeat-y from your body background element if you want the background image to repeat both vertically and horizontally. You have to make a change in the CSS to float your image to right or left of post. You can also make it optional for members by using the [class] tag. Please see this documentation: http://docs.zetaboards.com/themes/wraptext It seems like you want to change the overall content tables width. Is that correct? |

Thank you! I messed with the background image. Used "background-size: cover" and "background-size: 100% auto" it stretches the crap out the image vertically. These are the same bg images I used for the IF version of my board and I've never had a problem with their size before. I'm guessing it has to do with the board being for 1024 resolution, which is likely different/larger than how it was for IF. Hi Helena! I do mean the overall content table width of the board. Sorry for the confusion. I still need to look over the documentation and understand what goes where. The theme I chose keeps the content of the board narrower than I'd like with too much open bg space on the left and right of the forum's content. For floating images, I mean in the posts, themselves. Will get to the link after I get back from work. Edited by KrazyKelli, Jan 18 2018, 02:34 PM.

Not knowing what theme you are starting with and what you've changed so far, this is just a guess. It looks like you may have set a fixed width on your board (in the Theme Settings page). If so, change that to no width, and then adjust the padding and/or margin elements on the #wrap and #main to get the effect you want. If I'm right, the theme will remain fluid that way. changing the percents willl adjust the width of those sections:

That fixed the problem! Still can't figure out why the bg image is stretching to crazy amounts in order to fit with the length of long threads. I'm wondering if, in IF, the bg image stayed at its normal size and the content above it floated instead of the bg trying to stretch to fit the entirety of the content. If that makes sense. The content/words/tables/ etc moved while the bg stayed fixed. |

If you want a single background image to stay fixed, use this code:
It would also work to use "repeat". Depends on size of your image which works better for your purpose. Check to see if you haven't set a width or height for the image of 100%. That would cause it to stretch. |

Okay, that got the bg back in order. Thanks so much again for all the help! |
