true. puzzle games wont use the UMB much, just for loading the mullet and thats it. other, more active games, use the drive much more and that takes energy. same with movies, the UMB drive must be active the whole time and thus takes more energy. if you play from stick, games or movies, the UMB drive wont be used and that drive takes MUUUUCH energy. meaning you can play much longer when your movies or games(demo's for instance should always be put on stick) are set on a memo stick. and you can also turn the backlight lower, if you have some light you can turn it way lower or even off, it looks better with ligt on but if you can play it with light off or low set, that's better for teh battery as well. so that's enough you can do untill the better batteries are released |

yeah, touch screen is cool, but i'll wait a year or so til it comes down to about $100 i just don't like the fact the psp uses a disk, i mean, try shaking a CD player when it's playing, it dosen't work well.

The DS doesn't really need a touch screen, and plus you can't play orignal game boy games! That sucks! But the PSP on the other hand has great games, but theres a lot of problems on it. Disks popping out like guns, the anolog sticks fall off, and the greatest finale of all! In some games (like Ridge Racer) "burn" battery life, while other non-paced games can play for longer! What's up with that!?!?! |

yeah i saw it, that's a pain in the ass. but won't the ON/OFF button just above the D-pad on the NDS be a bit crap as well? you play and you accidently press that button? IF it is the on/off button anyway, but i think so  Sony is already developing better batteries, and you can easily switch batteries of the PSP, still its crap that you must buy new ones either way, it does solve a bigger problem.
true, it doesn't need 2 screens at all. it doesn't need X, Y, L and R buttons. but that would mean less gameplay elements. so that's why they do it :lights: |

Not just because I have one or anything, but I'd go with DS. I mean sure, a portable PS2 is great and all but Nintendo is the ultimate maker of gameboys and handheld gaming systems. (Not counting pdas or mp3 players.) |

but the thing is that nintendo actually is the only on in the handheld market and thus the best. see it as microsoft of the handhelds, nobody tries to interfere, and those that do will be wiped out. but (with both actually) some company will come and try it, and succeeds. just like with the PSone, it was sony's first console, and was it a bad one? guess not, looking at the sales. a first try is not always a bad try. though nokia does 2 bad tries
